Answer from the fertility expert:
Tomáš Bagócsi, Medical Director, Reprofit

We can do egg retrieval without anaesthesia. There are even some countries where anaesthesia is so expensive and so rare that you cannot even meet an anaesthesiologist. There are clinics and centres which perform egg retrieval without anaesthesia or only with local anaesthesia. We perform it with general anaesthesia.  All those centres have the same aneuploidy rate.

Answer from the fertility expert:
Patricio Calamera, Specialist in Reproductive Medicine

We can actually do egg retrieval without anesthesia. We left this approach for mini IVF or for natural cycle IVF in which we have to retrieve only one or two follicles (one or two eggs) because it may be a little bit painful of discomfort if you don’t go through anesthesia so, we sort of leave this “no anesthesia” to women that have a very very low ovarian reserve.
