Yes! Sometimes the lining can be too thick for implantation. Professor Gridingor showed that yes, implantation can occur in the lining like 15 – 16 millimeters, but we still have to think about what is the change of the thickness in the shortest period of time: in the late proliferative phase, and at the moment of the embryo transfer. So, a better situation will be if your lining was thicker and became thinner. And if you’ve got another situation at the beginning, where your lining was like 9 -10 millimeters and when you’re lining is 15 -16 millimeters on the day of the transfers so it looks like this thickness really would harm the endometrium, because it does not react on the progesterone because we have the progesterone resistance in this case. So we have to think more. We have to just look at what was before this thickness.
Lining for implantation usually it’s more frequent to have a thin line that thicker lining. If you do have a a very thick lining of the endometrium i(t have to be like really big) and you start suspecting that something else could be happening – maybe a polyp or maybe something different, so it’s better to study the the uterine cavity when you have a really really thick endometrium but the biggest problem for implanting the embryo is when you have a thin endometrium.
