Answer from the fertility expert:
Raúl Olivares, Medical Director & Owner, Barcelona IVF

Going to the toilet after a procedure, either an IUI or an embryo transfer, is not going to affect the result. The uterine cavity is a closed space in which either the sperm (during an IUI) or the embryos (during an embryo transfer) remain, even if we go to the toilet or walk afterward. You should not be worried about that.

Answer from the fertility expert:
Rami Wakim, Consultant in Reproductive Medicine, Phoenix Hospital Group

Yes, you can and this is what happens even after embryo transfers in IVF. Don’t forget that you remain lying for about 15-20 minutes and after that you go and empty your bladder. This is not a problem and does not disrupt the actual sperm function.
