Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment uses injections of the patient’s own platelets to accelerate the growth of egg follicles. It is used in diminished ovarian reserve, to improve egg quality, uterine lining thickness, and endometrial receptivity.

The ovarian reserve of a woman so, the number of eggs that a woman has, we cannot change it. But what we can improve with ovarian PRP is the quantitative of follicles, so yes, we can achieve that some more follicles may grow in an IVF cycle. Each month the ovaries recruit a certain number of follicles, with PRP we can improve this recruitment so it is possible to have one or even several follicles more in an IVF cycle and this means that we can achieve more eggs during an IVF cycle after PRP injection.
