It can. It can because the certain types of IVF that can be done which is a milder, softer stimulation for women with low egg reserves but I think you have to be realistic – if you’ve had a low egg reserve blood test, you’ve had an Antral Follicle count scan, your FSH is quite high, you are older – it’s gonna be really, really hard to make it happen and very often women want to think I just want to tick that box and see if it works. If it works great, if it doesn’t it – doesn’t but it’s very hard for someone to take it on because they’re absolutely desperate a lot of the time.
Yes of course it can work. It’s a matter of trying to decide the best IVF protocol for our patient and hope for the best so that we can get the best quantity of oocytes and cross our fingers that within those eggs we will get a really healthy good one to put with the sperm, to get a good quality embryo and high capacity of pregnancies.
