MyIVFanswers presenters' opinions

It is a great platform for patients to gather information from experts whilst treatments remain on hold in most countries worldwide.

It was better than I’d expected. I hadn’t done anything like that before and was a little nervous. I’m sure I can learn more and improve but it was a good first try! Questions were great. Really interesting and clear that participants were very engaged.

These kind of seminars are a very straight forward way of helping patients, and for sure it is going to be the future of this kind of medicine. It's really interesting for patients due to the quality of the information that they receive, and for doctors because of the amount of patients that you can easily reach with very little effort.

MyIVFAnswers is a great initiative that has managed to bring patients and fertility specialists together in times where both high value information and emotional support have become essential. It has proven to be an enriching tool that we hope is here to stay.

A new experience that I feel really happy about. I enjoy presenting scientific data in a patient-friendly way and also contacting them directly, for example to answer their questions. Me 2nd webinar felt more comfortable than the first, obviously.

Being a presenter of #IVFWBEINARS is a very good way to spread very important message for all the people that struglle with infertility and who might have some questions. Stronger Together is a very good initiative for physicians and patients in this hard time we are going through, where many couples have had to delay or interrupt their IVF treatments due to COVID-19. These online talks bring us together and offer a soothing balsam for all those patients who have doubts about their treatments and who will have to eventually face them in the near future. Giving advice and answering questions is a good way to feel at ease, accompany couples and being present even with virtual calls. Uncertainty is one of our worst “enemies” and, therefore, being able to clear all doubts regarding any issue is utterly important.

I loved it! A new experience that I very much enjoyed preparing and presenting, with great support from the organisation all along, thank you! Definitely feel more ready for the next one! It is a great initiative that sets the patient communication standard on a new level. It is essential to stay connected and give support to all the people struggling with an infertility problem, to provide them with top line information from experts around the globe, so that they have tools to choose the best team and treatment option for them.

I would like to share my feelings regarding the online meetings, I personally think that it is a very positive initiative for both patients and doctors. In fact, answer several doubts makes us more accessible to patients and it makes ourselves closer to them. I felt very comfortable speaking about an interesting topic and then answering some questions. I think it is a good idea to answer questions that many patients have, and they would not ask because of fear or embarrassment. Many times, these meetings serve to finally decide to take the step to carry out a treatment o decide a clinic. In summary, I encourage you to really continue with this initiative.

I think this is a very interesting channel both for patients and doctors. Infertility can be an exhausting, isolating slog through some of the the darkest days of a couple’s lives. The Stronger Together initiative is a much-needed effort to break down barriers to access to care and increase connectivity- infertility patients need all the support we can give them, especially in these troubling times. It was a pleasure to connect one on one with infertility patients- who perhaps never get to speak directly with their embryologist in the course of routine patient care. Embryologists are critical members of the infertility care team. We are a part of your family! It is often said that we are your “first babysitter”! But really- we are the custodians of life. We literally pick the sperm that will become the DNA of your child. We are your child’s first surgeon. It was an honor to take part in this initiative!!

I could not be happier and grateful for being a part of the #StrongerTogether Initiative and their incredible work in bringing Fertility Coaches, specialists and partners to our wonderful community.
